He was predeceased by: his parents, Henley Coleman and Janie Coleman; his sister Pat Fowler; and his mother-in-law Ollie Storie. He is survived by: his wife Dot Coleman of Hudson; his children, Britt Sterling (Rob) of Winston-Salem and Jason Coleman (Kim) of Newland; his grandchildren, Kyndall Weaver of Winston-Salem, Keigan Coleman and Aislyn Coleman of Newland; and his sisters, Margaret Wilcox (R. D.) of Lenoir, Wayburn Braswell of Lenoir, Dianne Henderson (Tommy) of Charlotte and Debbie Steele (Kenny) of Lenoir.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home (522 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645).
