He is survived by: his children, Rick Whisnant (Penny), David Whisnant (Angie), Tommy Whisnant and Becky Brown (Nolan); and his grandchildren, Carrie Starnes, Lindsey Lail, Chase Whisnant, Chelsea Koscheski, Kristi Tart, Shane Brown, Jazmine Pena, Tiffany Bozor, Chaydyn Whisnant, Skylar Whisnant and Bryson Whisnant.
The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, in memory of his wife Margaret Gilbert Whisnant, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
