He is survived by: his daughter Diane Walker Johnston (Glenn) of Lenoir; his grandson Gregory Johnston (Tara) of Charlotte; and his great grandchildren, Alexander Scott Johnston of Charlotte and Brooke Nicole Johnston of Charlotte.
