He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar William Pipkins Sr. and Ellie Few. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Taylor Pipkins; and his children, Elizabeth Pipkins Hancock (Lloyd), Virginia Pipkins Navarro (Bob), Catherine Pipkins Gibbons and William Gilmore "Gil" Pipkins (Jennifer). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
