He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph William Watson and Thelma Greene Watson. He is survived by: his children, Tracy Watson (Lisa) of Granite Falls, Kellie Craig (Russell) of Hudson, Renee Haire (Jason) of Hudson and Kirstie Waters (Adam) of Lenoir. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
