With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Parker McIntire of Lenoir, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Parker and Daisy Gibson Parker; her former husband Nolen Metcalf; her husband James McIntire; her son Tim Metcalf; and her siblings, Violet Parker and Robert Parker.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Metcalf (Cathy) and Kim Jones (Alan) of Lenoir; her daughter-in-law Suzanne Metcalf of Winston-Salem; her sister-in-law Wanda Parker of Marion; her grandchildren, Misha Metcalf, Timothy Metcalf (Ashley), Garrett Jones (Julia) and Jillian Jones; and her stepgrandsons, Jonathan Cook (Emily) and Jordan Cook (Amanda). She is also survived by her family, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
