It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Mikeal Effler of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Mikeal and Lillie Richards Mikeal; her husband Charles Effler; her son Robert Effler; and her grandson Nathan Harris.
She is survived by: her daughter Jeanne Dawn Harris of Lenoir; her sisters, Mary Hartley (Dennis) of Lenoir and Sherry Messer of Lenoir; her sister-in-law Pat Webb of Lawndale; and her granddaughters, Amber Harris and Heather Effler. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
