He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester D. Coffey and Grace Bennett Coffey; his siblings, Estie Loretta Smith and Donald Odell Coffey, Sr.; and his brother-in-law Tallie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Teena Helms Coffey; his brother Lloyd Everette Coffey of Taylorsville; and his brothers-in-law, Gordon Helms and Buck Harrison. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
