He was predeceased by: his father Carl Ervin Freeman; and his siblings, Sharon Louise Freeman, Terry William Freeman, Danny Ervin Freeman, Tony Carroll Freeman and Boyce Carl Freeman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Freeman Fowler (Tracy) of Granite Falls and Karon Denise Freeman of Lenoir; his grandsons, Jonathan Lee Fowler (Brandi) of Granite Falls and Tyler Dwayne Fowler (Jennifer Reid) of Granite Falls; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne LeeAnna Marie Fowler, Savannah Grace Fowler of Granite Falls and Pamela Deane Walker Huggins; and also, Jimmy Dean Huggins and Tristan Morgan Bryan Huggins.
