She was predeceased by: her father Robert G. Younce; and her husband J. C. Hamby. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Dean Hamby (Sandra) of Lenoir, Harley Jay Hamby (Lisa) of Lenoir and Claude Robert Younce (Kathy) of Lenoir; and her siblings, Leonard Younce of Lenoir, Rea Hodges of Wilkesboro, Dawn Hodges of Wilkesboro, Faye Eller of Wilkesboro and Joyce McGuire of Lenoir. She is also survived by grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
