She was predeceased by: her parents, George Donley Skipper and Flossie Mintz; her husband Roy Lee Hammonds; and her siblings, Bill Watson, Doris Smith, Lloyd Watson and Donley Skipper Jr..
She is survived by: her son William (Candace); her grandchildren, Chelsey, Chase and Amanda (Matt); her great grandchildren, Gemma and Spencer; her sister Evelyn Lehrschall; her nephew Roland "Snookie" Lehrschall (Vicki); her niece Sherry Everette (Bear); and her stepchildren, Elizabeth, Debra, Sandra, Becky, Pam and Terry.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Coble Funeral Home (1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Chapel Baptist Church located at 2419 Malmo Loop Rd NE, Leland, NC 28451.
