She was predeceased by: her parents, Lafayette A. McDaniel and Swanna Jones McDaniel; her husband John Paul Allen, Jr.; and her siblings, Ray McDaniel (Sylvia McDaniel) and Sandra McDaniel Tilghman (Mike Tilghman).

She is survived by: her children, John Paul Allen III of Leland, Keith M. Allen (Debbie Lindsey Allen) of Leland and Katherine Allen Shearon (David Shearon) of Land; her brother Jay McDaniel (Brenda McDaniel) of Bennett, NC; her sisters-in-law, Judy King of Ether, NC, Linda Overton of Ether, NC and Georgia Maness (Johnnie) of Ether, NC; her grandchildren, Sarah H Riewer (Garrett Riewer), Kameryn H Latusa (Kyle Latusa), Cameron J Hamby (Alexander Hamby), Mackenzie A. Allen and Mallory J. Allen; and her nieces and nephews, Donna Pasour, Deanne Singleton, Abagayle Singleton, Xander Singleton, Kelly Coalson (Kenneth Coalson), Chastin Coalson, Rayeann M. Anderson, Sheree M. Walters, Dorain M. Jacobs, Leisha N. Moran (Jonathan Moran), Alaijia Stinson (Gary Lee Thomas), Jay McDaniel II, Stephanie Balmer, Christopher McDaniel, David and Tonya Campbell.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Leland (517 Village Rd NE, Leland, NC 28451). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.

“Peggy was a wonderful person and colleague. She was quick to make a comment that brought laughter, and she was always ready to help when there was a problem. We (Lisa and I) can still hear the echoes of her laughter in our memories. We can not even imagine the feeling of her loss to her family. May God give her family peace, and may the memory of Peggy Allen be Blessed.”
