She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Rackley Ward and Gertie Mae Watts Ward; her husbands, George Hodges and Adolph Stanley; and her brothers, Roger Dale Ward and Edward Ward.
She is survived by: her children, Loretta G. Bell of Elizabethtown and George C. "Trey" Hodges, III (Twyla) of Clarendon; her brothers, Donald Ray Ward (Linda) of Cumming and Walter Thomas Ward of Hampstead; her grandchildren, Jeremy Hooks (Jama) and Kanon Hodges; and her great grandchildren, Lillie Grace Hooks, Aiden Hooks and Blake Hooks.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Ward Station Church of God (5478 Rough and Ready Rd, Chadbourn, NC 28431).
