Martha Bridgers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Bridgers of Leland, North Carolina, who passed away on March 24, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Berry Lewis and Myrtice Warwick Lewis; her husband Reverend Alton S. Bridgers; her great grandchild Adeline Eleanor Henry; and her siblings, Hannah Rose Gooden, Thay White, Jean Gooden, Glenys Thompson, Coegill Lewis and Wilton "Rusty" Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Alease Bridgers of Wallace, Tim Bridgers (Diane) of Leland, Hal Bridgers of Southport and Ruth B. Henry (Tommie) of Leland; her siblings, Edith Stewart of Elizabethtown, Autry Lewis of Raleigh and Tommy White of Elizabethtown; and her friend Martha. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
