He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hodge and Julia Hodge; and his sister JoAnn Hodge Greene. He is survived by: his wife Ada Eloise Hodge; and his children, Billy Lloyd Hodge (Patricia) of Leland, Dennis George Hodge of Leland, Rose Hodge Simmons of Leland and Cynthia Hodge-Autry of Wilmington. He is also survived by three sisters, four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choosing.
