He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonzey Powell and Nannie Cheschire Powell; and his wife Wilma Rieson Powell. He is survived by: his children, Lavon Keith (Michael), Larry A Powell (Sonya) and Cynthia Lee (Paul); his siblings, Talmadge Powell, Tony Powell (Debra) and Carolyn Fain; and his cousin Iantha Waddell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
