He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Congema and Rose Congema; his wife Frances Congema; and his grandson Joseph John Paul Congema. He is survived by: his children, Vincent Congema (Karen) of Leland, Joseph Congema of Burgaw and Joanne Hamilton (Don) of Wilmington; and his grandchildren, Ross Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton, Dean Hamilton, Nicholas Congema, Julianne Martin, Marianne Choufani, Maria Congema, Lucy Congema and Regina Congema. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
