He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hilla (Jack) and Margaret Hilla (Peg); his siblings, Janice Mulligan and Stephen Hilla; and his brother-in-law Thomas Corra.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Hilla; his children, John Patrick Hilla V (Lillian Hilla), Ryan Francis Hilla (Jillian McCabe) and Colleen Hilla (Nicholas Colosi); his siblings, Suzanne Theiss, Mary Hilla (Mark Coslow), Ann Corra (Jim Aulita), Eileen Slater (Chuck Slater) and Dan Hilla (Karen Hilla); and his brother-in-law Jerry Mulligan. He is also survived by his siblings, nieces and nephews, and in-laws.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica Shrine (412 Ann St, Wilmington, NC 28401).
