George Addison Young Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Addison Young of Leland, North Carolina, who passed away on April 2, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, George shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid George farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Locke Young; and his sisters, Eva Malloy and Marilyn Rose Malloy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wiseman Mortuary (431 Cumberland St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wiseman Mortuary Chapel (431 Cumberland St, Fayetteville, NC 28301). A burial will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery (8220 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28310).
