It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Dean (Leland, North Carolina), born in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on December 6, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Sorrell and Betty Markham Sorrell; her former husband Robert L. Scoggins; her husband Cecil L. Dean; her son Ray Scoggins; and her grandchildren, Harold D. Scoggins, Jr. and Michelle Coston.
She is survived by: her son Dwight Scoggins (Jean); her daughter-in-law Judith Scoggins; and her grandchildren, Bobby Scoggins, Harold Scoggins, Essie Hall, Billy Scoggins and Terri Seal. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a number of extended family.
