She was predeceased by: her parents, Montie Elmore and Alvin Elmore (James Shurtzer). She is survived by: her son Kenneth Shurtzer; her grandson Richard Elmore, Jr. (Avery McArdell); her husband James Alward Shurtzer; her children, Richard Elmore, Sr., James B. Shurtzer (Jennie Shurtzer), Elizabeth Reynolds (Melvin Reynolds), Ginger Desfonds (Joseph Desfonds), Kim Johnston and Nicole Jenkins; and her special baby girl Hope. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
