He was predeceased by: his mother Yvonne "Vonnie" Shay Griffin; and his daughter Brenda. He is survived by: his father Teddy Griffin; his wife Alicia; his children, Kimberly, Joseph, Zachary and Damien; his brother Ronald; and his nieces, Leah and Maddie.
