Colt Allen Hux Obituary
Colt Allen Hux, age 10, of Leland, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023.
Colt was born in Brunswick County on March 27, 2013 and was the son of Ashley and Heather Carpenter Hux.
Colt was very loving and caring child. His love and care for others was unlimited. He was an avid fisherman and loved playing basketball with his brothers, watching Disney movies and riding his bike. He loved being outdoors and surrounded by God's creation whether it be on the water fishing or at the beach and gardening. Colt loved sunflowers and was passionate about Unicorns. He loved being with his family and the special times just cuddling with his Dad. Colt will always be remembered for being Caring, fearless and possessing a selfless love for others and the heart of a saint. He was a member of the fourth grade class at Town Creek Elementary School.
He is survived by his parents, Ashley Hux (Ciarra Russ) of Leland, Heather Carpenter (Doug Westbrook) of Shallotte; five brothers, Dane Malone of Shallotte, Axle Hux of Leland, Elijah Caban of Southport, Ryder Cummings of Southport and Dane Westbrook of Allendale, Michigan; a sister, Shayla Harlow of Charlotte; grandparents, Teresa Martin of Winnabow, Allen and Bess Hux of Lake Waccamaw; Lani Swanson of Southport, Eddie and Angela Carpenter of Delco, Rick Russ of St. Thomas Virgin Islands, Kelly Derr of Southport and Doug and Diane Westbrook of Oak Island; great grandparents, Patsy Martin of Rockingham, Diana Engel of Shallotte, Sue and Woodrow Heath of Pink Hill, Becky Heffler of Concord and Toni Joy of Murrells Inlet, SC; Aunt, Kayla Hux (Josh Hunkeler).
A celebration of life service will be held Friday June 9, 2023 at seven o'clock in the evening at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, 1411 N. Howe Street, Southport.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from five o'clock until seven o'clock at the funeral home.
