He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley Boone and Rebekah Bowie Compton. He is survived by: his wife V. Anne Edelen; and his children, Elizabeth (Michael), Charles (Elizabeth) and Susan (Randy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
As such, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to recognize the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare staff who insured his final transition was a peaceful and respectful process.
