She was predeceased by: her parents, Rockfellow Benton and Ethel Edwards Benton. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Lanier Sr.; her son Jimmy Lanier Jr. (Hannah) of Leland; her grandchildren, Gracie Lanier (Michael Cox) of Wilmington and William Lanier; and her siblings, Bernard Benton of Hallsboro and Linda Lanier of Winnabow.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be directed to Lower Cape Hospice and Life Care or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
