She was predeceased by: her parents, Foy "Jack" Plemmons and Elsie Mae Webb; her stepparent Tom Hill; her husband John Max Carter, Sr.; and her sister Ruth Hill.
She is survived by: her children, John Max Carter, Jr. (Sharon) of Leicester and Teresa Lynne Carter Kline (Dee) of La Quinta, CA; her grandchildren, Anthony Kline (Ashley, Jonathan Kline) and Chad Carter (Leah); and her sister Jean Glaspy of Edneyville.
