He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Landreth Penley and Lucille Lewis Penley; his wife Nancy Cannon Penley; his niece Emily Penley of Honolulu, HI; his siblings, Robert Penley of Leicester, NC, Ernie Penley (Sara) of Leicester, NC and Ann Delliger of Woodfin, NC; his nephew Roger Penley; and his brother-in-law Michael Cannon.
