He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Preston Kinnley Marlor and Este Mae Payne Marlor; his wife Norma Jean McCarson Marlor; his children, Carolyn Garland Wilson (Michael) and Howard Jackie Marlor, Jr.; his grandchildren, Olivia Mae Chipley, Christopher William Lohr (Michelle), Justin Carl Wood, Samuel Brian Wood and Ashley Widner (Gary); his nephew Nathan Buckner (Erin); his sister-in-law Kay McCarson; and his nephew David.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel (962 Old Hwy 70 E, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
