He was predeceased by: his parent Harry Woodrow Lanning; his wife Debbie Lanning; his stepdaughter Cheryl Melton; and his brother Joe Lanning. He is survived by: his parent Helen Chockley Lanning; his children, Yvette Haney (Jeff), Mike Lanning and Scott Lanning; and his close friend Jessie Logan.
