It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Franklin Wines (Leicester, North Carolina), who passed away on October 8, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his children, Lisa Roland and Jerry Wines (Sandra Wines) of Canton; and his siblings, Linda Gentry of Canton, Shirley Carver (Van Carver) of Canton, Howard Wines (Thelma Wines) of Leicester and Roger Dale Wines (Brenda Wines) of Leicester.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Cooter" Surrett Wines; and his grandchildren, Amanda Hutchinson, Rockie of Leicester, Erica Swann, Jason Wines of Leicester, Nicole Wines and Chris of Sylva. He is also survived by one great- grandson and four great-granddaughters.
