He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie E. King and Virgie Ball King of Leicester, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Wylma Jean Duckett King; his children, Tamara Jean King of Greensboro, NC and Edward Jesse "Eddie" King, Jr. (Laura) of Iva, SC; and his siblings, Charles (Margaret) of Asheville, Gerald (Karon) of Leicester and Shirley (Harold Roberts) of Leicester. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
