It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ponzella Lea Williams of Leasburg, North Carolina, who passed away on December 15, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lea and Rosa Snipes Lea; her spouse Willie Edward Williams "Fats"; her sons, Derrick Williams and Marty Williams; and her siblings, Fonza Lea, Hunter Lea, Hurbert Lea, Thaddeus Lea, George Lea, McCollum Lea, Floyd Lea, Fitzgerald Lea, Harry Lea, Curtis Lea, Estelle Johnson, Camilla Lea and Rosa Lea.
She is survived by: her children, Willie Williams, Jr. (Elanore) of Burlington, NC, Cynthia McGee (Henry) of Leasburg, NC, Pamela Hatchett (Nathan) of Leasburg, NC, Tynica Shaw (Barry) of Leasburg, NC, Shenica Scott (Christopher) of Leasburg, NC and LeKisha Williams Hairston (Landry) of Leasburg, NC; her brother Clyde Lea (Phyllis) of Greensboro, NC; and her daughter-in-law Angela Hughes of Leasburg, NC. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; a loving neighbor.
