He is survived by: his parents, Paul Douglas Painter and Mary Belle Martin Painter; his wife Rosa Lynn Painter; his children, Kirsten Painter (Bradley Barnwell) of Prospect Hill, Dale Painter of Leasburg and Sara Ott of Caswell County; his brothers, Carl Lee Painter of Hurdle Mills, Cecil Jackson "CJ" Painter of Roxboro and Douglas Painter of Mebane; and his grandchildren, Karly Rose Barnwell, Bailey Peace, Jr. and Riley Peace. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
