Louise Royster Elmore Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Royster Elmore of Leasburg, North Carolina, who passed away on June 5, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Royster and Julia Richmond Royster; her husband John Willis Elmore; and her siblings, James Otis Royster, Willie Royster, Robert Royster, Christine Royster and Carrie Royster.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Elmore (Linda) of Bowie, MD, James Calvin Elmore (Brenda) of Yanceyville, NC, Melvin Elmore (Toni) of Danville, VA and Barbara Ann Poteat (Carl) of Milton, NC; her sisters, Alease Phelps (Floyd), Dorothy Cunningham of Semora, NC, Annie Ruth Brandon (Herman) of Alton, VA and Jo Ann Chadwick of Jacksonville, NC; and her brother-in-law Murphy Hatchett of Leasburg, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Yanceyville, NC with a limit of 10 people at a time. (Per CDC Guidelines: Facial Masks are required).
