It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Franklin Garner of Leasburg, North Carolina, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lora "Lib" Prince Garner; his parents, Jesse James Garner and Sarah Alice Shields Garner; and his son Ricky Lee Prince. He is survived by: his children, Tammy W. Burnett, Renee W. Dickerson of Burlington, Robert Garner of Burlington, Gary Garner of Burlington and James Prince of Burlington; his sister Nellie Petty of Haw River; and his close friend Drema Guarra. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
