With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Mellon Pearson (Lawndale, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 15, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin Mellon and Macie Jane Philbeck Mellon; her grandson Rocky Pearson; and her siblings, Herman Mellon, Iva Moore and Inez Philbeck.
She is survived by: her husband Alex Andrew Pearson; her children, Dwayne Pearson (Lavonda) of Shelby, Terry Pearson (Julie) of Shelby and Dianne Johnson of Shelby; her grandchildren, Seth Pearson (Kristy), Trevor Pearson, India Johnson and Thomas Roberts (Haley); and her great grandchild Millie Roberts.
