He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Odell Towery and Martha Frances Short; and his brother-in-law Chris Meade. He is survived by: his daughter Hope Nestlerode (Brandon) of Shelby; his sister Sandy Meade of Shelby; and his granddaughter Ashlin Smith (Dillen).
