It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Waldrop Shook of Lawndale, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Waldrop and Jessie Waldrop; her husband Boyce Farrell Shook; and her brothers, Joe Waldrop and Rev. David Waldrop.
She is survived by: her children, Dean Shook (Lidieth) of Shelby and Kelly Shook Allen (David Dennis) of Lawndale; her sisters, Kathy Lemmons of Hickory and Janet Hartley of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Joshua Allen, Yaudieth Jones and Aaron Leon; and her great grandchildren, Tucker Allen, Alyssa Allen, Addalynn Croft Leon and Alexander Jones.
