She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Carlton Powell; her parents, Austin Victor and Maggie Corinne Kennedy; and her siblings, Author, Thelma Sealy, Ruth Cooper, Rachel Diane Kennedy and Linda Kennedy.
She is survived by: her children, Carlton Victor Powell (Judy) of Palmetto, FL, Patty Lynn Gilbert (Richard) of Lynn Haven, FL, Donna Teresa Smith (Jonathan) of Chugiak, AK and Andrea Lee Davis (Angus) of San Antonio, TX; her siblings, John Wayne Kennedy (Mary) and Barbara Jean Dover (Jack) of Shelby, NC; and her sister-in-law Ruby Stuart (Red) of Orlando, FL.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home (846 E Stage Coach Trail, Lawndale, NC 28090, USA 28042). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home (946 E Stage Coach Trail, Lawndale, NC 28042).
