It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Helen Carroll of Lawndale, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Burgan Jones Grigg and Minnie Norman Grigg; her husband J. L. Carroll; and her sisters, Pauline Lattimore and Myrtle M. Sparks.
She is survived by: her brother Burgan J. Grigg, Jr. (Pat Gasburg); and her close friend Joyce Shuford of Lawndale. She is also survived by three loving nieces and one nephew.
