We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2021, at the age of 101, Margaret Stamey Royster of Lawndale, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Franklin Stamey and Annie Mae Alexander Stamey; her husband Clemmie Lee Royster, Jr.; her siblings, Rev. Robert Stamey (Thelma), Bill Stamey (Carolyn), Rev. Ben Stamey, Eliza S. Ross (Claude, Sr.), Katherine S. Nelson (Howard) and Betty S. Simpson (Robert); and her children-in-law, Clyde E. Scism, Jr. and Deborah E. Royster.
She is survived by: her children, Edwin Royster of Lawndale and Nancy Crotts (Tim) of Lawndale; her grandchildren, Nelson Royster, Matthew Royster of Lawndale and Caroline Margaret Scism of Nashville, TN; and her brother Gilbert Stamey (Nancy) of Chapel Hill, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
