With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard McMillan of Lawndale, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on September 1, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Arthur McMillan and Lassie Leigh Buchanan McMillan; and his brothers, Hayden McMillan (Avis), Earl W. McMillan and Richard McMillan.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Carpenter McMillan; his sons, Leonard McMillan, Jr. (Doyun) and John C. McMillan; his siblings, James McMillan (Samantha), Jerry McMillan (Charlotte), Betty Guffey and LouAnne McMillan; his sisters-in-law, Shirley McMillan and Patsy McMillan; his grandchildren, Jessica (Jake), Abby, Cassie (Justin), Christopher (Amanda), Jackson and Alex (Caycie); and his great grandchildren, Will and Rilee.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to St. Jude's.
