It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Max Greene Sr. of Lawndale, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on October 2, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wray Greene and Jessie Greene; his wife Betty Jean McFarland Greene; his children, John Max Greene, Jr. and Gina Greene; and his brothers, Jake Greene and Ray Greene.
He is survived by: his stepson Randy Warlick (Deedee); his grandchildren, Kevin Warlick (Jessica) of Shelby, Kelli Simmons (Mickey) of Shelby, Will Warlick of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Madelyn Warlick of Houston, TX; his great grandchildren, Morgan Warlick of Shelby, Graham Warlick of Shelby, Mason Simmons of Shelby, Eli Simmons of Shelby, Kylei Ward of Shelby and Kamden Ward of Shelby; and his sister-in-law Jackie Greene of Shelby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
