It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Cornwell Johnson of Lawndale, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Alton Cornwell and Earleen Hoover Cornwell; her husband Paul Lester Johnson; and her son Gary Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Greg Johnson and Paula Bumgardner (Ricky) of Golden Valley; her siblings, Rick Cornwell of Lawndale and Gail Johnson of Pittsburgh Penn; her grandchildren, Jordan Spangler (Jessica) and Jamie Shannon (Vance); and her great grandchildren, Jace Spangler and Marla Shannon.

Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.

Memorials may be made to Kistler's United Methodist Church, c/o Bryan Turner, 860 Elam Road, Lawndale NC 28090.
