It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Cothran (Lawndale, North Carolina), who passed away on March 27, 2019, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Essence Childers; her grandparents, Harvey "Bus" Elmore, Sr., Essie P. Elmore and Clara Clark; her great-grandparent Laney Clark; and her brother-in-law Morris James.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Cothran; her son Vantrel "Scoot" Clark (Emily) of Shelby, NC; her mother Betty Clark of Lawndale, NC; her grandson Kendrick Elijah Clark; her stepchildren, Jessica Latrice Young of Spartanburg, SC, Jaushia Cothran of Upper Marlboro, MD, Jonica Trenae Gibbs of Los Angeles, CA and Jonathan Prentice Gibbs of Gaffney, SC; her nephews, Elijah Christian James, Rantrell Clark and Kama; her niece Brianna Lawrence; her cousin Cephus Clark; her close friends, Alvis Hector, Gloria McConnell and Rita Clemmons; and also Ja'liyah Ava Means.
