He was predeceased by: his parents, Arch Houser and Hattie Mae Hoyle Houser; his wife Hazel Parker Houser; his daughter Frances Shoup; and his siblings, Elaine Matthews, Eutis, Tilson and Ted Houser.

He is survived by: his children, Marilyn, Ricky Lemons of Boiling Springs, Gerald of Lawndale, Jeannie Houser of Lawndale, Jimmy of Lawndale and Kim Houser of Lawndale; and his brothers, Dan Houser and Gene Houser. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
