He was predeceased by: his wife Nannie Lee Morris Hunt; his parents, Dob Kelly Hunt and Macie Etta Newton Hunt; and his siblings, Cecil Hunt, J. D. Hunt and Mary Lou McNeely.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Hunt Sexton (Buddy) of Denton, Hugh Leonard Hunt (Judy) of Lawndale, James Milton Hunt (Cheryl) of Boone and Michael Evans Hunt (Beth) of The Woodlands, Texas; and his sister Carol Meade (Gene) of Casar. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
