He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wesley Canipe and Mary Edna Powell Canipe; and his brother William Jack Canipe. He is survived by: his nephew Samuel Kevin Canipe (Beverly) of Morganton; his niece Jackie Canipe Greer (David Lee Greer) of Morganton; and his pet Bentley.
