He is survived by: his wife Louise Tipps Dixon; his children, Andrea Harris (Fletcher), Cynthia Walton (Clifton), Yvonnette Johnson (George), Gloria Williams and Howard Dixon, Jr. (Michelle); his siblings, Rosetta Paschall, Queenie Dixon, Willie Dixon, Donald G. Dixon (Carolyn) and William Dixon; and his brother-in-law Vick Smith. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
