It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Calvin Wellmon (Lawndale, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on June 11, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Enoch Wellmon and Ella Costner Wellmon; his wife Mary Helen Allen Wellmon; and his siblings, Tommie Wellmon, Clemmie "Chick" Wellmon, Sara Jane Towery and Irene Hoyle.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Betty Jordan (Baxton) of Shelby and Louise Kelley of Earl; his siblings, Robert "Wink" Wellmon of Lawndale and Kimmie Hartman of Lawndale; and his pet Teddy. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
